Tenru is a Tajuru elf, a warden of her people, located on Murasa on the plane of Zendikar.[1]

Description

Tenru is a slight, hooded woman clad in leather armor from pauldrons to stirruped boots. Unmarked and solemn, she sits astride her mount, or at times, leads it behind her. There is no mistaking the sturdy construction and expert workmanship of her armor — hallmarks of a sentry of the Tajuru elf nation.

History

During a scouting mission, Tenru encountered the Mul Daya twins Mina and Denn, who were on a mission to connect with the Tajuru.[1] After sizing the siblings up, Tenru brought them with her to the grove of jaddi trees near her tribe's current camp. During an encounter with the newly released brood of Kozilek, Mina discovered that the ground of Zendikar was still alive beneath the crust of Blight, and she was able to tap into her Greensinger powers from there, weakening the Eldrazi drones enough that Denn could finish them off.

After the battle, Tenru brought the Tajuru leader, Nisede, to the twins.[1] Mina and Denn asked to join her tribe to hold the memories of the Mul Daya safe. Nisede accepted, and together they headed for Sea Gate to join their commander, Tazri, in the final battle against the two Eldrazi Titans.
