Tenihas was the Bloodchief of House Ghet in Malakir, who was betrayed and killed by his heir, Anowon.

Description

Tenihas held a position of great authority as the Bloodchief of House Ghet. He served as a father figure to Anowon, holding his young heir in high regard and mentoring him closely. Tenihas was wary of delving too deeply into the ancient history of vampires, showing a protective nature and a preference for maintaining the status quo to safeguard his house and its members.

History

Tenihas mentored Anowon, who was the "first son" of House Ghet. Anowon viewed Tenihas as a father figure, and Tenihas regarded Anowon with high esteem, guiding him in his early years. Anowon was captivated by Tenihas's extensive library, particularly ancient texts that hinted at the historical servitude of vampires to mysterious "famished gods". This aspect of history was poorly understood and largely forgotten. The mystery surrounding the ancient servitude created tension between Anowon and Tenihas. Tenihas did not want Anowon to explore these ancient texts, believing some knowledge was better left undiscovered. This led to growing animosity between the mentor and his protégé.

One night, Bloodchief Tenihas was brutally murdered in his bedroom. His entire retinue was slaughtered, and his treasure stores were plundered. The only surviving witness accused Anowon of killing Tenihas in a fit of rage before vanishing. Following Tenihas's murder, Anowon did not return to his homeland for many decades. During his absence, the legend of Tenihas's killing grew, becoming almost mythic in proportions. The story of the murder and Anowon's disappearance became a significant part of vampire lore in Malakir.
