Sulgh (SOOLG), also known as the Sulgh Swamp and the Great Sulgh Salt Marsh is a region on the Dominarian continent of Corondor.

Description

Sulgh forms the southwestern half of the Great Salt Marshes of Western Golthonor, bordered to the north and east by the other great salt marsh, Khone. To the south lies the ocean, and to the west runs the Golthonor Torrent, forming the border with Casindral, with Shikar on the far side.[1]

History

Sulgh was also where Sivitri Scarzam began Sivitri's War, starting with her invasion of Scarzam Dragons. After Sivitri fled the plane, Geyadrone Dihada began her conquest of the area, eventually coming to rule all of southern Corondor. Dihada too left Dominaria, and left the corrupted Force of Nature named Sol'Kanar the Swamp King to rule in her stead.[2]

Situated between Shikar and Khone, Sulgh became the dominion of Sol'Kanar the Swamp King for millennia. From there, he terrorized the two Contrary Kingdoms, destroying their trade routes and killing their people, forcing them to give him a Date of Tribute until the Dragon War weakened him severely, and Chondaeh killed everyone in Khone but Gydolien Mor. Sol'Kanar crawled off to recuperate, biding his time, while Shikar bloomed as a nation, and Gydolien plotted her vengeance.[2]

Thousands of years later, Kristina of the Woods and Jared Carthalion found Altair of Coloni and Caliphear the Nightmare in Sulgh and formed a pact with them shortly before the Activation of the Mox Beacon.[3]
