A Cosmogrand of the Celestial Palatinate.[2] Their icon is rice and a glove.
Bez Bez, Pinnacle nature surveyor

Calnan Calnan, Monoist assassin

A Monoist assassin
Cataphrin

A squire and aspirant of the Sunstar Free Company. The daughter of a Cosmogrand.[2]
Chasse

A knight of the Sunstar Free Company.[3]
Checkmate Director Infinite Guideline

The director of Infinite Guideline, Pinnacle's local infinity column in the Sothera system. Inherited their post after Mantis' resignation.[4]
Chopright Chopright family

A family of colonists who settled on Sigma's Reach around 4561 AR.[5] They were likely killed when Summists eradicated the planet's life, but after the Endstone caused a revision to the timeline, they never colonized the planet. Their daughter was born around 4562 AR. They are polite, fashionable, and have no strong religious affilitation.
Crampton Severine

A human author of cosmic horror fiction. Their works portray the Edge as a malignant puppet show operated by unknowable beings who mock human notions of causality.[5]
Dark Fringes Upon Bands of Light Through a Narrow Slot Coronal-Captain Slats

A Sunstar Free Company Astelli and captain and coronal of the Dawnsire.[2] A friend of Syr Vondam, it phorocast that Vondam would die in the defense of the Dawnsire, before the timeline was revised by the Endstone.
Dorgan Dorgan, Kav roboticist

A member of the Kavaronic Federal Empire
Dornnuk

A warrior in the Kav Memorial Navy under Farakatolar. He had green and violet scales and carried combat stimulants. Driven to suicide by a trap in a Vaar vault near the Wurmwall.[6]
Farakatolar Harkener Sergeant Farakatolar

An officer in the Kav Memorial Navy. She led a small squad comprised of Dornnuk, Haronar, Rakoro, and Takoluk. All but Haronar, including Farakatolar, were killed by traps in a Vaar vault near the Wurmwall.[6]
Geldan

A female human acquisitions expert hired to investigate the subject of the Uthros Combine's research in the core of Uthros.[7] She began thieving as a teenager, stealing antiques from trade ships. She and Rezint did jobs for Solidbodies Research for years, slowly accumulating a mallowmass debt to the collective. After she was hired to investigate Uthros's core, she sold her ship for a pair of heavy-duty alabile Monoist pressure suits and an old Kav mining vessel. The new ship is nearly a century old, its orange and brown paint peeling away to reveal gray metal. It is long and brutal, a razor with a six-pack of plasma torches strapped to its rear. She was brainwashed by the titan at the planet's core, and her fate is unknown.
Gobbler

A ferocious beast unfrozen during the terraforming of Evendo. It seemingly has a taste for Eumidian stasis pods.[8]
Ghan

A Drix hunter of spacetime disruptions.[9]
Haronar

A pilot in the Kav Memorial Navy under Farakatolar. Possibly the only survivor of an expedition to a Vaar vault near the Wurmwall.[6]
Iridiss Master Iridiss

A teacher in the Sunstar Free Company
Isidor

A vain and grumpy squire and aspirant of the Sunstar Free Company. The best fighter in his bind, from a family of mirrorscape architects.[2]
Jadnis

A Drix consultant working with Pinnacle.[9]
Kadrik

A Eumidian vanguard from the second wave of terraforming assigned to find unhatched stasis pods.[8]
Kavarus III Emperor Kavarus III

Former emperor of the Kavaronic Federal Empire
Kesori Umberlin

A human. In one timeline, she tried to use an Eldrazi artifact to disrupt spacetime and rescue her sister from a botched space station evacuation. In the current timeline, she is Jadnis' secretary.[9]
Korelaa

A former prisoner of the Sunstar Free Company.

A rival of Sami and Tannuk.[5]
Maisie

Author of Maisie's Edge Chronicles.
Mantis Checkmate Mantis

The former director of Infinite Guideline, Pinnacle's local infinity column in the Sothera system. Resigned her post after learning about an impending Summist attack.[4]
Mayav Captain Mayav

A soldier of the Kavaronic Federal Empire
Mentor Ultimate

A member of the Celestial Palatinate
Mirri

Sami's orange and brown cat.[1] Possibly named after the legendary cat warrior from Dominaria, in one of the Edge's echoes of the Multiverse. When something startled Mirri, she weftwalked off the Seriema around 4560 AR while the ship was docked near Uthros, and they have been searching for it ever since.
Nagashua

A Monoist commando. After her best friend, a mechan, forgot her, she chose to join a suicide attack on Dawnsire. She was killed by a Sunstar soldier during the attack, around 4564 AR. She carried an axe.[3]
Narix

A molting Eumidian
Noz

A human employee of Pinnacle. Their stasis pod crashed on Evendo and was unfrozen by Eumidians years later.[8]
Pabkoh

A Eumidian vanguard from the first wave of terraforming.[8]
Pangy Ol' Pangy

A Robot Pangolin
Purael

A Monoist commando. She is a murderer and carries long surfact shears. Likely died during an attack on Dawnsire around 4564 AR.[3]
Quinidad Quin

A little page-haired aspirant of the Sunstar Free Company. Squire to Syr Walker. The child of an aristocrat mathematician.[2][3]
Rakoro

A warrior in the Kav Memorial Navy under Farakatolar. She carried a beam axe. She was killed by a trap in a Vaar vault near the Wurmwall.[6]
Raphaella Raph
Raphaella of Secundi

Alpharael's twin sister, born on Susur Secundi. Though she had a sour look, she was a joyous person in life. She volunteered to take the Plummet into Sothera to perform a flyby of the Dawnsire, surveilling its ability to detect inevitors.[2]
Reen

A Monoist gravkill paladin.[10]
Rezint

A silver-haired human acquisitions expert hired to investigate the subject of the Uthros Combine's research in the core of Uthros.[7] As a young student on Infinite Guideline Station, he studied Illvoi script and worked in a research lab while smuggling on the side. He and Geldan did jobs for Solidbodies Research for years, slowly accumulating a mallowmass debt to the collective. He abandoned Geldan on Uthros when she fell under the control of the titan at the planet's core, and his fate is unknown.

A saint in the Summist faith, or possibly a Monoist joke name for a Summist.[2]
Takoluk

A warrior in the Kav Memorial Navy under Farakatolar. He had oversized teeth with thick fangs and carried a scanner and short energy blades. He was killed by a trap in a Vaar vault near the Wurmwall.[6]
Taman IV Regent Maximum Taman IV

Divine emperor of the Celestial Palatinate and head of Dynasty Taman.[11] The Regent Maximum is the head of the divine state, which is considered superior to the mere imperial state of the Palatinate.
Tekvu General Tekvu

A soldier of the Kavaronic Federal Empire
Too Much Happiness

An android ship captain contacted by unknown beings in the Wurmwall.[10]
