The Fomori-Eldrazi war was a millennia old conflict in the Edge.[1]

Description

In the conflict, the Fomori and the Drix fought an incursion of the Eldrazi through the Chaos Wall. The war was incredibly devastating, bringing all of reality to the brink of destruction.[2] The Fomori were successful, with the Eldrazi being forced out of the Edge.[3]

Although the Eldrazi went into remission, the Fomori disappeared from the Edge in the aftermath of the conflict. Since the end of that age, the Drix have remained consummate Eldrazi hunters, using the Fabric of All Being to identify and assassinate critical Eldrazi potential beings to slow — and hopefully prevent — the return of the great devourers.

The Vaar

An old myth tells of the Vaar, who ran from the Eldrazi. It is said that they fled into their virtual world, the Hylderhigh. Only a few nodes connecting to the Hylderhigh remain in reality. It is possible that only one Vaar being remains, named Inevitable-24.[4]
