Infinite Guideline Station is an eternity column and Pinnacle's main transit hub in the Sothera system of the Edge.[1]
Description
Infinite Guideline Station is a port for interstellar ships to arrive and depart and the hub of a Pinnacle administrative district.[1] It orbits Sothera in Uthros's libratory point.[2] The station is a high-traffic enclave where the people of the galaxy mingle on their way to and from the rest of the Eternities, all watched over and administered by Pinnacle. It is the closest thing to neutral territory that the Sothera system has.[3] FTL ships looking to transit between the stars depart here. If ships are not equipped with an eternity drive, they dock with an eternity drive-equipped Pinnacle ferry then transports them between the stars.
Infinite Guideline is a radial structure with massive viewports showing the stars beyond the station.[3] The eternity column plunges through its circular hub.[2] Bay Five hosts freelancers: captains employed by no guild or state or corporation, piloting eternity ships, though they still require Pinnacle clearance.
History
Around 4564 AR, Infinite Guideline's director was Mantis, until she stepped down and was replaced by her mechan Checkmate.[2] As Sami, Tannuk, Alpharael, Haliya, and Tezzeret approached Infinite Guideline with the Endstone, the Summist and Monoist forces gathered around Infinite Guideline. As the crew entered the station, it was struck by potential matter, opening at least fifteen holes in its dock, cutting the ship's power.[4] The matter, possibly fired by the Monoists, attracted a large eldrazi that attacked the station and its inhabitants.
