Sidar Jabari (jah-bar-ree[1]) is one of the most powerful members of the Zhalfirin royal army.

Description

Jabari is a dark-skinned man. He wears silver armor and a red-winged helm.[2]

History

Although Jabari's intellect could have allowed him to become a philosopher, a highly regarded position in Zhalfir, he chose to lead the army against Kaervek during the Mirage Wars.[3][4]

Sidar Jabari was born into a wealthy, noble family in the capital of Zhalfir. With experience and ingenuity, Jabari became Sidar, or general, of the army. He controlled the largest Zhalfirin force and was a major player in the war against Kaervek.

A grounded, sharp man with a diplomatic demeanor, Sidar Jabari led the armies in defending the city of Tefemburu after Sidar Mwigo fell at Ufunguo. With the aid of Hakim of Suq'Ata and others, he could destroy Kaervek’s primary army and save the people of Tefemburu in one fell swoop. After Kaervek’s defeat, he led Zhalfirins against the retreating armies of undead and viashino.

Jabari was preparing to fight the Phyrexian Invasion when the entire country was phased out by Teferi.

When Teferi was disconnected from the Temporal Anchor in his search for answers to the looming New Phyrexian Invasion, he ended up in Zhalfir, realizing that only a decade had passed there and that the Zhalfirans were still preparing for the first Phyrexian Invasion of Dominaria.[2] He reconnected with Jabari and Queen Wezna, and found that Kaervek had escaped his Amber Prison. It gave him a new resolve to battle the Phyrexians. After General Mageta was injured, he was put in charge of Zhalfir's army.

Jabari commanded the armies of Zhalfir in their attack on New Phyrexia, leading the plane's flying knights on the battlefield.[5]
