Talruum Mountains
Information
Plane Dominaria and Zhalfir
Status Partially located on both Dominaria and Zhalfir
Part of Jamuraa

The inhospitable Talruum mountains (tahl-room) extended from the central Ekundu Mountains to the north, forming a border between Suq'Ata and the Mwonvuli Jungle. It was home to tribes of fierce minotaurs, which tend to be xenophobic and aggressive.

History

Weatherlight

While hunting for the Juju Bubble, the Skyship Weatherlight was forced to crash land in Talruum after being damaged by a nesting dragon. When the xenophobic Talruum announced the Weatherlight crew would be killed for encroaching on their territory, even though the crash was an accident, Tahngarth volunteered to duel on the crew's behalf. Defeating his opponent, Tahngarth then joined the crew and the hunt for the Legacy.[1]

Invasion

Much of the Talruum Mountains were phased out by Teferi, alongside the rest of northwestern Jamuraa, to protect the region from the horrors of the Phyrexian Invasion. Afterward, the Skyship Weatherlight traveled to where Talruum had been in the hopes of recruiting Tahngarth's people as part of their army. Instead, they found only blue skies and blue seas.[2]

Time Spiral

The phased-out portions were forever lost from Dominaria when Jeska destroyed the time rift over the Zhalfirin Void.

March of the Machine

After New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse, Wrenn and Realmbreaker returned the phased out Zhalfir to the multiverse by switching the landmass' place with that of New Phyrexia. The phased-out portions of the Talruum mountains now exist as part of the plane of Zhalfir.
