Ufunguo (uh-fun-gwoh[a]) is a city immediately west of the Uktabi Jungle on the plane of Zhalfir.
History
During the Mirage War, Ufunguo was the first Zhalfirin city to fall to Kaervek. When his army stormed the border and attacked Ufunguo, Sidar Mwigo and her troops bravely held the city, allowing its civilians to flee. Their sacrifice allowed the citizens to take refuge at Tefemburu, but Ufunguo was badly damaged afterward.
Ufunguo lay near the eastern border of Zhalfir and was |phased out, alongside the rest of north-western Jamuraa, by Teferi to spare it from the horrors of the Phyrexian Invasion.[2]
After the Mending, Ufunguo was thought forever lost after Jeska destroyed the time rift over the Zhalfirin Void.
However, after the New Phyrexian Invasion, Wrenn and Realmbreaker returned the phased-out Zhalfir to the multiverse by switching the landmass' place with that of New Phyrexia. Ufunguo now exists as part of the plane of Zhalfir.
