A boy around nineteen years old living in Saddlebrush with his sister Mira.[28] He is pale, with an upturned nose and a smattering of freckles. His father died seven years prior and his mother died a few months before he encountered Annie Flash. Nolan

An Outcaster from the territories who studies ancient magical artifacts.[30] Notoriously unscrupulous, he'll do near anything for the right price. He wears a coat made up of layers of fur, moss, and cactus armor, and he has a curled, wiry mustache.[31] Nolan was kidnapped from Sterling Company custody on a train to Prosperity by Oko's crew. Jace Beleren, under the guise of Ashiok, extracted details about the location of Tarnation from his memories before allowing Annie and Kellan to return him to civilization.

Tommy

A member of the Atiin nomadic people and the nephew of Annie Flash.[28] He has brown skin and black hair. He followed Annie to Thunder Junction and became involved in her activities as an outlaw. After her gang robbed Akul and the Hellspurs, the scorpion dragon spent weeks tracking down the Freestriders and killing those that got in his way.[31] When the remaining members relented and returned what they had stolen, Akul attacked them regardless, almost killing Tommy with his venom, leaving him in chronic pain and requiring a cane to walk. He stayed with Annie in Saddlebrush for a time, mostly bed-bound by a combination of the pain and the side effects of the pain relieving smoke that Annie used to treat him. He returned to their home plane with the help of Jody Carpenter and left Thunder Junction not long after Annie dealt with the town's rattlewurm.
Towning Mr. Towning

Owner of the general store in Saddlebrush.[27] Towning is an older gentleman with pepper-gray hair. He takes a fifty percent cut of Annie Flash's earnings on behalf of the town as payment for keeping her residency a secret.
Twist Fandango

A woman and member of Akul's inner circle within the Hellspurs.[31] Smoke radiates from her skin and her hair curls with flames. She wears a spiked wrought iron pauldron, each point tinged with red-hot embers. The rest of her clothes are burgundy, frayed at every edge, with a small thunder pistol and hatchet tucked in her belt.
