Alchemy: Thunder Junction is a MTG Arena-exclusive card set in the Alchemy-series that was released on May 7, 2024.[3]
Description
Alchemy: Thunder Junction is a digital only release adjacent to the release of Outlaws of Thunder Junction. There are thirty new designed-for-digital cards included in the set (10 uncommons, 15 rares, 5 mythic rares). Although many the cards are set on Thunder Junction, a third of the set is dedicated to depicting events from across the Omenpath Arc at large, including the epilogue story for The Big Score.[4]
Mechanics
The digital-only mechanics Conjure, Intensity, Perpetually, Seek and Spellbook are reused. From the main set only Saddle is reused.
Alchemy: Thunder Junction introduces the Heist keyword action, which allows players look at three random nonland cards in target opponent's library and exile one face down. The player may cast that card for as long as it remains exiled, and mana of any type can be spent to cast it.[3] Fitting the theme of Outlaws of Thunder Junction, performing a heist is a crime.
The set contains two one-off mechanics — Silent Extraction features Threshold and Resolute Rejection features Cycling.
