After her gang robbed Akul and the Hellspurs, the scorpion dragon spent weeks tracking down the Freestriders and killing those that got in his way.[31] When the remaining members relented and returned what they had stolen, Akul attacked them regardless, almost killing Tommy with his venom, leaving him in chronic pain and requiring a cane to walk. He stayed with Annie in Saddlebrush for a time, mostly bed-bound by a combination of the pain and the side effects of the pain relieving smoke that Annie used to treat him. He returned to their home plane with the help of Jody Carpenter and left Thunder Junction not long after Annie dealt with the town's rattlewurm. | |
