Claire D'Loon is a human performer and balloon artist of Myra the Magnificent's Intergalactic Astrotorium of Fun.
Description
Although there is a balloon-making robot in the park, Claire is the artist and purveyor of the art of balloons. Though the robot is faster, it can't provide the artistry and passion that Claire does. Claire even takes it one step further: her balloons come alive.[1]
Myra originally did not see the need to hire Claire, as she already had a balloon maker. However, Claire managed to wow Myra and get a job at the park. She is as much a performer as she is an artist.
Trivia
- Claire D'Loon, Joy Sculptor is a play on Debussy's Clair de lune
- Claire and the balloon-making robot had a John Henry style battle in which Claire won. Pietra's one regret is that her robot did not win.
