Teferi's Isle. Art by Gerry Grace.
Information
Plane Dominaria, Zhalfir
Type Island
Status Partially located on both Dominaria and Zhalfir
Part of Jaema Sea

Fanning out from the coasts of Zhalfir and the Buleusi Bay on Dominaria were the Chaza Isles. They enjoyed a tropical but slightly temperate climate from their position on the shallow, glowing Jaema Sea.

Description

These small islands hid a remote atoll known as Teferi’s Isle. This is where the planeswalker Teferi retreated to perform his experiments on the manipulation of time. When these experiments went haywire, the Phasing of Teferi's Isle, causing everything on Teferi's Isle - plants, beasts, buildings, and Teferi himself - to become temporarily removed from the time stream. This attracted the mages Jolrael, Mangara, and Kaervek, thus indirectly causing the Mirage Wars.

Teferi phased Zhalfir out, and the Chaza Isles and parts of northwestern Jamuraa with it during the Phyrexian Invasion. They were forever lost from Dominaria when Jeska destroyed the time rift over the Zhalfirin Void.

The phased-out portion of the Isles was returned to the multiverse during the New Phyrexia-Zhalfir switch after the New Phyrexian Invasion. They now exist as part of the plane of Zhalfir.
