The Teetering Peaks are massive boulders infamously perched upon the tips of narrow rock spires throughout the Teetering Stone Canyon, part of the Makindi Trenches of Ondu on the plane of Zendikar.
Description
The Teetering Peaks balance precariously yet improbably atop thin stone columns scattered across the canyons and plateaus of Makindi. Though they seem ready to topple at any moment, Zendikar’s unstable gravity keeps them surprisingly steady, making them safer to pass beneath than they appear.[1]
Historical shifts in Zendikar’s fickle gravity may have caused the stones to settle into these gravity-defying arrangements, but some believe they are traps deliberately placed to crush the unwary. Mages sometimes study the region, speculating that the peaks’ placements form a hidden pattern or map linked to deeper secrets of Makindi.[2]
