Politus was the leader of the vedalken on Mirrodin before the Phyrexian takeover of the plane.

Description

At the time of the siege of Mirrodin, Politus was the leader of the vedalken, a race known for their understated manner of communication. His role as a leader shows a commanding presence among his peers. His personality was pragmatic and strategic, demonstrated by his decision to offer control of Research Spire Eleven to any mage powerful enough to reclaim it from the Phyrexians. This indicates a leader who valued strength and capability, and who was willing to use incentives to motivate his subordinates in dire situations.

History

In response to the escalating threat, Politus sought volunteers to reclaim Research Spire Eleven. He promised ownership and control of the spire to the successful mage. Trennet, an ambitious vedalken mage, volunteered for the mission, driven by his desire to advance his mystical research and gain the promised rewards. Trennet then discovered he had a human competitor, Sarja, a Neurok woman, which immediately sparked a rivalry. Politus officially started the contest, sending Trennet and Sarja on their mission to reclaim the spire.
