Dominaria Remastered is the second remastered Magic: The Gathering set to appear in paper. It was released on January 13, 2023.[3][4][5][6]
Set details
Dominaria Remastered reaches across Magic's sets to bring together a mix of the familiar and nostalgic cards representing the breadth of Dominaria's history, from the earliest sets through the modern day. It is a fully draftable set featuring cards from 27 sets that took place on Dominaria. Note that Tempest, Stronghold, Exodus, and Nemesis took place on the plane of Rath, which would later be overlaid onto Dominaria, but R&D chose not to include them because they didn't take place on Dominaria at the time and the first three had already been used in Tempest Remastered.[7]
The 27 sets are: Alpha, Antiquities, Legends, The Dark, Fallen Empires, Ice Age, Alliances, Coldsnap, Mirage, Visions, Urza's Saga, Urza's Legacy, Urza's Destiny, Prophecy, Invasion, Planeshift, Apocalypse, Odyssey, Torment, Judgement, Onslaught, Legions, Scourge, Time Spiral, Planar Chaos, Future Sight and Dominaria.[7] There are also three cards that first appeared in Modern Horizons.
Dominaria Remastered features 261 regular cards (101 commons, 80 uncommons, 60 rares, 20 mythic rares), and includes randomly inserted premium versions of all cards. #262-401 are retro frame versions of a selection of the previous cards, #402-411 are retro frame basic lands, #412-456 are a selection of borderless versions. #457 is the release card.
Marketing
Dominaria Remastered is a special limited-run set. It will be sold in Draft Boosters, a Draft Pack and Collector Boosters featuring alternate art, borderless art and retro frames.[8] The Draft Boosters feature the art of a Serra Angel (which is fighting a Shivan Dragon in the sky of Sursi), and the Collector Boosters the art of Kamahl attacking a kavu.
Each Draft Booster contains 1 retro frame card of any rarity and 1 retro frame land.

Trivia
- Based on public registries, the release of Dominaria Remastered was first rumored in November 2021.[11]
- Gavin Verhey once remarked that Invasion Remastered was on the shortlist of sets to be remastered, but that while the draft would be fun, a lot of the cards of the Invasion block wouldn't be that exciting outside of draft today.[12]
- The borderless version of Siege-Gang Commander features a Star Trek reference in its flavor text.
- The new art of Hyalopterous Lemure finally features a lemure instead of a lemur.[13]
