Stonehaven locations
- Ephren
– the central and most prominent part of Stonehaven. The area is characterized by its enchanted plains, which were once the personal domain of Lord Adam Carthalion until the destruction of his army in the Battle of Aster Fall. It is notable as the birthplace of Jared Carthalion and the location of the first battle between Jared and Ravidel.[1][2]
- Castle Melmereth
– the fortified seat of Adam Carthalion in Ephren until the year 1265 by the Reckoning of the Sages of Minorad. After Adam died in the Battle of Aster Fall, Ravidel took up residence in the castle. Melmereth met its end when Jared Carthalion and Yorgo infiltrated its walls, and Jared summoned a Shivan Dragon, resulting in the fortress's destruction.[2]
- Castle Melmereth
- Krysalthus
– an enchanted forest lying south of the Plains of Ephren and north of Arathoxia. It is controlled by House Verdenth, recognized as the seat of Emerald Magic. The forest is home to the Ironroot Treefolk along with a rich variety of woodland creatures.[1][2]
- Lighthouse Island
– a long, mountainous island that shields the western coast from the open waters of Corondor. Historically, its lighthouse guided ships from the Western Sea to the once-thriving ports of Arathoxia. In former days, it was a beacon of hope, welcoming all travelers to the beauty of Corondor, but now it lies largely abandoned. The once-friendly merfolk have grown wary of outsiders, and it is said that spirits—both benign and malevolent—wander the island.[1]
- Nyx
– deep within the Swamps of Nyx stands the stronghold of the Black Sorceress. Although widely believed to have been long abandoned, its barred and forbidding gates are said to conceal countless secrets.
- The Plains of Urlan
– expansive northern plains of Stonehaven, traversed by the Tenamis River. These lands were known for their silver-like bone and for the Visionaries who studied the stars for omens. The people here stood as allies to all who would defend Corondor against conquering wizards.[1][3]
- The Stonehaven Plains
– the southern heartland of Stonehaven. Known for its tranquility, it was one of the few areas spared from the destruction of the Planeswalker War. It served as home to farmers and gentle scholars, and even its resident ghost was considered a figure of sympathy rather than fear.[1][3]
- The Ten Summits
– a mountain range lying between the Plains of Urlan to the north and the plains of Ephren to the south.[2]
- Oremon
– the highest peak on the continent, never fully explored. It is rumored to be home to the Ash Warlords.[1][2]
- Oremon
- The Tenamis River
– the principal river of Corondor, beginning in the Urlan Wild and flowing through the Plains of Urlan. It bends southward at Hamath, forming a significant boundary between Stonehaven and Casindral. The river encircles the plains of Ephren before ending in a delta near Casindral Cape, site of the city of Arathoxia.[2]
- Thetia – an ancient city-state, notable as the birthplace of Xarl's wife, Eska.[4]
- The Urlan Wild
– the northernmost part of Stonehaven, celebrated for its untouched landscapes. Traveling across these pristine lands was said to remind one why Corondor was worth defending.[1]
