Nyx is a marshland region located within Stonehaven, which forms the western portion of the continent of Corondor on the plane of Dominaria. It is described as a swampy area situated south of Krysalthus forest and north of Arathoxia, lying close to the shoreline of the Western Sea. The area's position between these two important areas, along with its coastal proximity, gives it a strategic location while also placing it in a remote and inhospitable environment due to the swamp terrain.
Description
The Swamps of Nyx are noted for containing the stronghold of the Black Sorceress, a site that is surrounded by local legends and mystery. Although this fortress is widely believed to have been abandoned for an extended period, it is still spoken of in terms that suggest danger and secrecy. Its gates are said to be forbidden to trespassers, concealing what is described as a multitude of hidden truths. The combination of the swamp environment and the presence of this reputedly deserted stronghold has contributed to Nyx's reputation as an isolated, foreboding, and secretive place within western Corondor.[1]
