Mistrise Village is a semi-permanent Temur settlement in Qal Sisma on the plane of Tarkir, built around geothermal steam vents that provide warmth and energy during the colder months. The vents are especially active in spring and fall, drawing Temur families as they migrate between seasonal camps.[1]
Description
Mistrise lies within the rugged mountains of Temur-controlled Qal Sisma. Its sturdy yurts and wooden lodges cluster around fumarole fields that heat homes, cook food, and help preserve supplies. Families gather here mainly during transitional seasons, then return to mobile hunting camps to avoid overhunting and overgrazing — a hallmark of the Temur’s semi-nomadic way of life.[1][2]
Provisioners and traders supply hunters and families with tools, food, and gear. Large furred beasts like the Temur Tawnyback accompany the villagers, well-adapted to the harsh climate.[3] Mistrise reflects the Temur’s deep respect for nature and their Endless Song — the balance of land, people, and spirit. Whisperers hold seasonal ceremonies here during the Thawflow and Frostsweep celebrations.[4]
