The Vanished Ones were the non-native inhabitants of Mirrodin that were caught by Memnarch's soul traps and returned to their home planes at the end of the Fifth Dawn (for example, Raksha Golden Cub and the Leonin seer Ushanti).[1]

This event was known as "The Vanishing," as the Mirrans had no knowledge of why it had occurred or where the Vanished Ones were sent.[2][3] Different cultures had different names and theories for what caused the disappearance. Almost all of the remaining trolls, half of the elves, and a third of the humans disappeared without a trace.
