Zaliki is a Nacatl leonin on Alara, and former tribemate of Ajani and Jazal Goldmane.
History
Zaliki was the shaman of Ajani's tribe. While the kha, Ajani's brother, held a speech, Zaliki slinked off into the night. Concerned for her, Ajani followed her to Jazal's den. When he confronted her about her doings, she made an excuse that she had forgotten one of her talismans there and hurried off. Then, Ajani discovered that the walls of Jazal's den were covered in mystic symbols, one of which depicted a one-eyed Leonin, undoubtedly Ajani himself. These symbols were likely painted by Zaliki, and although suspicious of the goings-on, Ajani decided to leave it be for the moment and not confront Zaliki or Jazal about it. Zaliki had been manipulated into assisting the summoning of undead horrors from Grixis, which appeared during the night while the pride was sleeping. These horrors killed Ajani's brother Jazal, triggering Ajani's planeswalker spark and causing him to planeswalk to Jund. [1]
