Varnel Buckara was the Master of the Orange House of Fentesk, in the city of Estark on Dominaria. He participated in the Night of Fire, the destruction of the House of Oor-tael.

Description

He was a very lascivious man, who loved being surrounded by beautiful and young women: in his harem he had "far more" than fifty of them.[1] He slit the throat of his first consort in 4068 AR.[2]

After Garth joined his house, Varnel took a 3000 gold bribe from Zarel to bar Fentesk's door allowing the Grand Master to capture him.[3]

He was killed by the Grand Master of Arena Zarel, when the latter decided to destroy the four Houses. Zarel cast a spell on Varnel, which caused him to age rapidly until all that was left of him were his skeletal remains.[4]
