The Eternal is a god of monotheistic religion practiced in the land of Kush on Aerona.
Description
He is regarded as an omnipotent and immortal creator, protector, and destroyer.[1]
Followers of the Eternal believe that great powers uphold the five corners of the world. When beginning a meal, they show reverence to these powers by tearing off five pieces of a loaf of bread and tossing them to each corner, followed by five tosses of salt.[2] The dead are given gold coins to pay the ferryman to take them to the afterlife.[3] Legends speak of younger days when there were demigods who struggled for control of Dominaria who later disappeared.[4] This likely referred to planeswalkers.
It is said that on the day of Ragalka, the Eternal will return and destroy the world, keeping those mortals he finds worthy.[5] The Muronian Order devotes itself to reminding the public about the fragility of everything.[6]
