The Shielded Sea is the sea south of the Terisian Isles.
Description
The Shielded Sea lies south of the eastern Terisian Isles, forming the south coasts of Yavimaya and southwestern New Argive. It connects to the Sea of Laments in the north, the South Sea in the west, and the Shattered Sea in the east.
History
The Shielded Sea bordered the southeastern part of Terisiare before that continent was split into smaller islands. During the Brothers' War, the sea ran along the south shores of Yotia, Korlis and west of Argoth. During the Dark Age, the Shielded Sea followed the coast from the Southern Provinces to the Shattered Isles, and during the Ice Age, it ran from the edge of the growing Yavimaya Forest, past the Adarkar Wastes to the south shores of Kjeldor. The forest of Fyndhorn had risen from the sea floor, a fertile land with the city of Kelsinko right on its shores. This was later largely reclaimed by the ocean, forming the Shattered Sea.
