The South Sea is the sea south of Almaaz.
Description
The South Sea lies south of Almaaz, bordering Sarraza, Sumifa and Yavimaya. It connects to the Sea of Laments in the northeast, the Shielded Sea in the east, and the Lat-Nam Straits and Ilesemare Sea in the west.
History
The South Sea bordered the southwestern part of Terisiare before that continent was split into smaller islands. During the Brothers' War, the sea ran along the south shores of the Halquina Mountains, past the Great Desert and Zegon to the mouth of the Mardun river. During the Dark Age, the South Sea followed the coast from Almaaz to the mouth of the Yavimaya river, and during the Ice Age, it ran from Yavimaya to the now land-locked Lat-Nam.
