Amonkhet Remastered is a Magic Arena-specific reprint set that was released on August 13, 2020. It combines cards from Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation.[2][3]
Description
Amonkhet Remastered features the set-defining cards and iconic mechanics from both Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation but with updated gameplay to make it a fun and fresh experience. The combined card count from across the two sets is 338 cards, with a focus on the Limited play experience (Draft and Sealed), Pioneer, and continued support for Historic.[4] There are 108 commons: 21 in each color, and three colorless. There are also 90 uncommons, 74 rares, and 31 mythics. Regal Caracal serves as the box-topper, with the set number #339. The basic lands each feature seven different arts. They don't appear in the boosters.
The cards are obtainable in MTG Arena boosters, Limited events (Sealed and Draft), and through crafting.
Invocations
In the announcement, Wizards of the Coast hinted there were also some additional cards hidden as a surprise, that provided support for Historic and (eventually) Pioneer Constructed formats.[3] It turned out that R&D took Amonkhet Remastered as an opportunity to bring beloved Magic cards onto the plane of Amonkhet and show what they would have looked like had they originally been introduced on that plane. All these cards have new art.[5] These cards are part of the main set.
Original Invocations

Mechanics
While many of the mechanics from the original block will be familiar (cycling, counters, casting cards from your graveyard), others have been remastered to fit the updated look and feel of MTG Arena.[3] For example, both embalm and eternalize cards will appear as "near-hand castables" once the respective card is in the graveyard and feature a themed enters-the-battlefield animation when using either ability.
The keyword action exert now uses an interface like sacrifice abilities. When attacking with a creature, you will be able to choose between attacking as normal or exerting. Exerted creatures will feature arrows when they are attacking and will have a specific tap visual effect to remind players that it doesn't untap during the owner's next untap step. Once that untap step has passed, the card will appear tapped as normal.
The other reused mechanics are afflict and aftermath.
Card types
Both Cartouches and Curses make an appearance.
