Jor Kadeen is a leading member of the Mirran Resistance, working closely with the healer Melira. He is likely of Auriok descent, due to his white hair.
Description
Jor Kadeen is known amongst the Mirrans as a warrior and leader. He is intelligent and strategic, developing numerous guerilla tactics to ensure the Mirrans' survival in the face of their overpowering Phyrexian enemy. He is of the opinion that even the most capable generals and seasoned warriors of the Resistance can't fight the weapons, tactics, and magic of the Phyrexians on an equal base. He prefers to hide and survive.[1] As long as they remain on Mirrodin, there is a shred of hope that their world will one day be returned to its rightful occupants. He sees it as his task to ready the minds of the young ones for the future they face.[1]
Jor Kadeen pioneered the invention of hexgold, a substance refined from Glimmervoid plates and rare blinkmoth serum that helps protect against exposure to Phyrexianizing substances. Jor Kadeen's elite soldiers are known as the Goldwardens, and his hexgold mask and injections are symbols of his leadership.[2]
