Marek was a Vedalken warrior and the commander of Lord Pontifex's elite guard on Mirrodin.[1]
With his Master, he chased Glissa Sunseeker across Mirrodin in order to bring her to Memnarch. As Pontifex was trying to betray Memnarch by killing Glissa, he saved her life and started to fight against Pontifex. In this short fight, the two Vedalken killed each other.
