Status | Unknown |
The Magewall Hub is an artifact responsible for the generation of the Magewall in the Valley of Tamingazin.[1]
Description
The Magewall Hub is a cylindrical object made of indigo-colored stone, lazulite and cyanine crystal, small enough that it can be picked up and easily held in one hand. Through the actions of the Magewall, all those attempting entry into Tamingazin are slowed to an average rate of 1/25th their normal progress while crossing the expanse of the wall. This effect varies in strength by region, and becomes more pronounced if additional people attempt to pass through the magewall in the same area within a short time. Though it serves as a focus for the protective enchantments placed around the valley by the members of the institute, the hub itself contains no source of power and requires outside activation.[1]
History
The creation of the Magewall Hub took the combined efforts of two hundred members of the Institute of Arcane Study working together for more than seven years. After being fed an addictive substance by Ursal Daleel, the wizard Aligarius Timni took the Magewall Hub from the institute, and together the two boarded a boat on the River Nish, headed for Suderbod.[1]
