Tan Jolom, also called the Worldwalker, was the first figure of Komon Winaq legend on Ixalan, famous for circumnavigating the plane's core.[1] He later returned as an Echo.[2]

History

Near the beginning of the Fifth Age of Ixalan, Tan Jolom was the first of the Komon Winaq to complete a circumnavigation of the Core of Paradise and confirm that the world was a sphere built around a star, earning him the title "Worldwalker."[1] After crossing the Core, Aclazotz convinced him to pass beyond the veil of death and find the land of the Fourth People. Considering the prospect of exploring the afterlife as another chance at adventure, Jolom became an Echo and departed for the afterlife, seeking the Fourth World beyond its borders. Guided by a whispering voice, he passed to the realm of spirits, gods, demons, and devils, where he searched for the Deep Gods — Chimil's children — hoping to tell them that their people had mapped the Core and awaited their return. Dark creatures from the afterlife slipped into the world through the door left open by Tan Jolom, none more terrible than the final child of the Fourth People: Aclazotz, the whisperer who had promised to show the worldwalker to the land of the Fourth People.

Jolom's helm

Sometime later, the Coin Empire stored Jolom's helm in a vault on the plane of Thunder Junction, where it was released millennia later around 4563 AR.

Trivia
