Tovolar was the dire alpha werewolf of the Mondronen howlpack on the plane of Innistrad.
History
He is mute, has silver fur and seemingly never transformed back to human form. Tovolar lead his pack in howling songs and revels of carnage.[1] As it turns out, Tovolar is the first werewolf who can retain some of his humanity and hold on to his weapons after his transition.
His howlpack, about 60 in size, was known for using a dark form of magic. They stayed away from civilization, sticking to farmlands, rural communities, and remote monasteries. With Avacyn's protective wards getting weaker, the Mondronen got closer to cities. After the return of Avacyn, the howlpack was dissolved.[2]
After the nights of Innistrad were inexplicitly getting longer, Tovolar formed a new pack of dire werewolves that was growing rapidly.[3]
