The Living Armor was a set of crafted armor that was able to self-animate, changing both form and texture to fit its intended wearer.

History

The sorceress Sacumon found the Living Armor in an armory beneath the Colekgan Mountains, although Vervamon later assumed it originated in Lat-Nam, and was brought to the mountains by the Niroso. Sacumon later offered the Living Armor to Yunnie, who initially declined it, as it appeared in the form of a small leather breastplate. However, when the blood witch coerced Yunnie to put it on, the leather straps fastened themselves and the armor molded itself to perfectly fit his broad, muscular chest. It pulsed with power, transmitting some of it to its wearer, instilling bravery and strength.[1]

Using the armor, Yunnie became almost invincible, swinging the war against the elves of Eln Forest in favor of the Urhaalan Valley minotaurs, who had adopted Yunnie into their clan. However, the Living Armor also took a toll on its boon. Each battle where the armor granted Yunnie great strength, protection, and a sense of invulnerability, left him severely exhausted and drained afterward. After several battles, Yunnie noted that the armor became harder to remove and that the weakening effect was getting progressively stronger. He made several attempts at discarding the armor, but it would find ways to return to him and reattach itself. It also started deflecting blows off itself and onto its wearer, showing its inherently dangerous essence. Yunnie eventually did manage to tear the armor away from his body, removing several strips of skin and flesh along with it. The armor was then picked up by Yunnie's blood-brother, the minotaur Mytaru, to defeat the stone colossus Tiyint. Mytaru actively used the rebound effect of the armor to make the giant statue's crushing grip cause its imbued magic to weaken, rendering the statue lifeless at last, although at the cost of Mytaru's life.[1]

The shapeshifter Isak Glen'Dard, having witnessed the battle and the deaths of Mytaru and Tiyint, then claimed the Living Armor for himself, donning it underneath his clothes so that it would remain a secret advantage for him.[1]
