Claria was a lady and cartographer in Sumifa.[1]

Description

Claria was a descendant of Samor the Collector. She was named after her ancestor, Samor's daughter Claria. She had long black curly hair, pinned up in combs and red ribbons, and fiery golden eyes.[1]

History

Claria was betrothed to Maceo, the prince of Sumifa, but when his father Thedeso died in 3050 AR, Maceo broke off the betrothal and cast her out. She had been working as a cartographer and inherited her uncle Kalkuk's map shop when he died. Cheyne and Ogwater Rifkin encountered Claria while looking for a map to the Chimes, and she joined them in traveling there, passing through the orc kingdom of Wyrvil and the River Kingdom of the Selkies along the way. Claria was captured by Riolla Hifrata's assassins and bound to one of the crystal spires of the Chimes but was rescued by Cheyne. After Ogwater released and banished the Beast of the Hours using Claria's name song and her inherited chronoclave's music, Claria and Cheyne realized they had developed feelings for one another.[1]
