Alchemy: Edge of Eternities is a Magic: The Gathering Arena-exclusive card set in the Alchemy series that was released on August 19, 2025.[3]
Description
Alchemy: Edge of Eternities is a digital only release adjacent to the release of Edge of Eternities. There are 30 new designed-for-digital cards included in the set (10 uncommons, 15 rares, 5 mythic rares), together with a ten-card cycle of existing dual lands at rare.[4] The set takes place in the Edge. It is the last Alchemy set to be released for 2025.
Despite Edge of Eternities being the first set following Standard rotation, Alchemy: Edge of Eternities does not start the 2026 Alchemy series. The set continues to use the Alchemy 2025 set symbol () and expansion code (Y25) in preparation for the change to calendar-year rotations starting in 2027, when all sets released in 2025 will rotate out of the format together.[5]
Check lands
Alchemy rotates sets at a much faster rate than Standard with 2025 seeing the format lose Wilds of Eldraine, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, Murders at Karlov Manor, Outlaws of Thunder Junction, The Big Score and the Alchemy 2024 sets.[6] These sets included many of the important mana-fixing lands that allowed two- and three-color decks to function efficiently. Following the release of Edge of Eternities, Wizards of the Coast identified that the gameplay experience they want to promote in Alchemy would be significantly hindered by the change. Rather than forcing players to wait until the release of Alchemy: Edge of Eternities to correct this, they chose to make the entire ten-card check land cycle available to players on release of Edge of Eternities. The lands could be crafted from July 29, 2025 onward and could be opened in Alchemy: Edge of Eternities booster packs once the set becomes available. Their early release didn't change their status, they were still part of the Alchemy: Edge of Eternities set and will rotate with that set.
Mechanics
The digital-only mechanics Conjure, Draft, Intensity, Perpetually, Seek, and Spellbook are reused. Heist returns from Alchemy: Thunder Junction. From the main set, Station returns on Spacecraft while Landfall, Void and Warp are reused. Exhaust makes a cameo appearance on two cards.
Shared spellbooks make their return with both the Planets spellbook, allowing players access to all of the Planets from the main set, and the Slivers spellbook.
Counters
Shield counters are used in an Alchemy set for the first time since Spara's Bodyguard in Alchemy: New Capenna.

An Into the Future Midweek Magic event was announced for Alchemy: Edge of Eternities in the July 28 MTG Arena Announcements post.[8] However, the following week this was replaced in the schedule with All Access Alchemy Constructed.[9]
