Enslavement of Trine Absolution of Trine Blackblade–Dihada War

The Absolution of Trine was an event that occurred during the Time of Legends.

History

In his old age, the archmage Xarl, Angel-Keeper of the fallen angel Trine and responsible for the Enslavement of Trine, took his descendant, a young man of one of Xarl's wives Eska's line, a young boy named Eskil as a spellsquire. When Xarl finally died of old age, the House of Xarl was left to Eskil. Now without a purpose, Trine escaped her imprisonment and flew to where she was originally bound by the Horned Halo. Eskil, pure of heart, summoned another Serra Angel named Rahel to undo the evil that was done by Xarl and Trine. Rahel, sensing the purity of Eskil's purpose, agreed and tracked Trine down. The two former sisters fought, and Rahel killed Trine in a flash that blinded Eskil. Rahel absolved Trine of her crimes, returning her to purity and bringing her fallen form back into the white mana of the Serrans. Eskil in turn became an immortal Planeswalker, carrying on the House of Xarl far into the future. [1]

As one of the most benevolent planeswalkers on Dominaria, Eskil saved the children of Corondor during the Blackblade–Dihada War. He settled in, and became the guardian of the White Woods, where he eventually became Mangara's mentor.[2]
