The White Woods is a region of Casindral in the southern part of Dominarian Corondor, known as a refuge for the Quirion Elves.[1]

Description

The White Woods, a forested area of broadleaf and silver birch, was also the home of the planeswalker Eskil the White for many years. With tens of thousands of square miles of unexplored areas, the White Woods is one of the most mysterious and expansive forests of Dominaria. The trunks of its silver birches can range from twenty to thirty feet thick, and many of them tower hundreds of feet into the sky, making any single tree extremely valuable in terms of raw wood and pure mana. The river Estolade runs through the forest.[2]

History

The Quirion elves migrated into the White Woods' dense inner regions after the Ice Age, and have been forced to defend their new homeland and retain their independence for centuries. They have since developed into a fierce society of warrior-mages, who have learned to use the forest and its surroundings to their best advantage.[2]

Before he went to Jamuraa to investigate the disappearance of Teferi's Isle, Mangara was trained in the White Woods by old blind Eskil. Mangarao thus gained the loyalty of the Quirion who lived there, and more than a century later, he brought them with him to take part in the Mirage War.
