The Dawnhart Coven is a group of human witches and warlocks from Innistrad.[1]
Background
Before the coming of Avacyn, the old magic of the coven was a source of protection from the threats in the dark. After the Archangel's death, the coven emerged once more, becoming the last hope of humanity against the encroaching darkness of the Eternal night. The coven's leader is Katilda. There perhaps two dozen of them. Some women, some men, some seeming to eschew such labels.[1] They are clad in elaborate headdresses.
The coven has an enclave near the Celestus in the Kessig Ulvenwald. Branches and hides fashioned into tents, decorated with crescents and spheres. Floating candles, candleguides, lend the place an eerie light, as do the strange scarecrows throughout.[1]
Midnight Hunt
Believing the Eldrazi captured within the moon to be the source of the day's shortening, the Dawnhart coven decided to organize a Harvesttide festival, something not seen in centuries. The witches and warlocks believe that the festival's magic could undo what's wrong with the moon and make things right.
