Jeleva is a vampire wizard that lives in the Nephalia region of Innistrad.[1]
History
Jeleva lives in an opulent mansion near Havengul. While she spends her days sequestered in her mansion, by night her merciless predations know no bounds. A descendant of Runo Stromkirk, Jeleva has broken all ties with her bloodline and directly opposes Runo's participation in the coastal cult.[2]
Known to play cruel games of cat and mouse, she preys on her victims' minds before devouring their blood. No one's throat is safe from Jeleva, but it's the minds of wizards that she truly craves. She targets the most renowned personalities of Innistrad, intent on stealing their knowledge for herself. The powerful Church of Avacyn has put a price on her head, and she is often a target for monster hunters from across Innistrad. She likes their blood, and will happily steal their minds as spoils in her private war against the Church.[3]
Jeleva and Gisa Cecani crossed paths after the latter moved to Havengul. The encounter left Jeleva convinced that stealing Gisa's mind would damage her own, so she instructed the local vampires to leave the ghoulcaller alone.[4]
