Tivadar's Crusade happened in the last part of the Dark Age on Terisiare, Dominaria.
Description
Having grown up amid the Church of Tal's witch hunts, Tivadar of Thorn became the leader of the Knights of Thorn during the part of the Dark Age on Dominaria. Just thirteen years old when he was recruited as a prison guard just before the Battle of Pitdown in 430 AR, Tivadar disagreed with the infighting between the various human factions, seeing the massing goblins, not magic, as the real source of danger against humankind.
In a controversial move, Tivadar was joined by the sorcerer Rasputin Dreamweaver, and together they established a unit of strong warriors that took the fight to the goblins. This campaign was a success, and Tivadar's rising popularity contributed to a shift in the mission of the Church of Tal, moving away from hunting sorcerers and witches and focusing more directly on the threats from enemies to all humankind.[1] He led a major campaign against the goblins and orcs of Terisiare alongside Rasputin Dreamweaver.
It is not known precisely when the crusades took place, but Tivadar survived, and later wrote a history on the goblin wars.[2][3]
