Taming the Mak Fawa was an event at the end of the Time of Legends.

Description

Haunted by his visions at Koilos, Mishra dreamed of Phyrexia. In his dreams, he encountered a dragon engine and managed to tame it using his Weakstone. He was then discovered by Gix, who clawed his arm while trying to claim the stone. Mishra awoke with a scream and discovered that his arm was scratched. Then the earth under the Suwwardi camp started rumbling, and a great dragon engine clawed its way out of the sands beneath the camp. Chaos ensued, and the dragon engine, called mak fawa by the Fallaji, started attacking those in its sight, killing the Elder Qadir, who was carrying the Weakstone. Mishra, aided by Hajar, plucked the stone from the Qadir's corpse and used it against the dragon engine, hoping to weaken it. Instead, the mak fawa bent down, submitting to Mishra's will and responding to his commands.[1]

In the wake of this event, the younger Qadir was appointed his title, and with the might of the mak fawa at his disposal, he started a campaign of uniting the Fallaji tribes under his might, causing even the Thaladin, Tomakul and Zegon to bend the knee. Thus, the Fallaji Empire was created.[1]
