The Tales of Jamuraa, shortened to just the Tales on the continent, are stories written by Afari about Jamuraa and Dominaria. They were originally featured in the flavor text of the Mirage block sets - Mirage and Visions. An additional Tale appeared in Modern Horizons 2.

Brood of Cockroaches It’s like waking on a bed of a thousand olives during an earthquake of subtle force.
Brushwagg Defiantly, the young cyclops popped the brushwagg into his mouth. His cheeks suddenly puffed, his eye bulged, and he was forced to agree with his elder.
Choking Sands The people wiped the sand from their eyes and cursed—and left the barren land to the hyenas and vipers.
Diamond Lion The merchant asked for riches no one had ever dreamed of. The djinn, smiling, granted his wish.
Fallow Earth ...and when the farmer awoke the next morning, all the seeds from his field were once again in their sacks.
Flooded Shoreline Some say the sea is jealous of the land and wishes to climb its heights to meet the sky.
Giant Caterpillar (Visions) I’ve seen hornworms big as a man’s fist,’ the traveler said, and nodded soberly when our jaws went slack at his ignorance.
Hazerider Drake The hazerider danced in the thunderstorm and sang to its music.
Hulking Cyclops (Visions) Some say a great cyclops turns the world in its hands, looking down upon it with its one bright eye.
Igneous Golem The creature rose from the mountain, its body weeping fire.
Meddle (Mirage) Shadimir was as surprised as he was relieved when the blow turned aside.
Mtenda Lion The lion drank that lake right up! In thanks, he gave Siti the power to speak with lions and make them leave the goats alone.
Mystical Tutor (Mirage) To the tutors, a ‘poem of sand’ was of little account, a ‘poem of ivory,’ priceless.
Phyrexian Tribute In your final breath you still have something to offer Phyrexia.
River Boa (Visions) But no one heard the snake’s gentle hiss for peace over the elephant’s trumpeting of war.
Squandered Resources He traded sand for skins, skins for gold, gold for life. In the end, he traded life for sand.
Tranquil Domain An ancient court mage unified the houses into guilds to serve Zhalfir above their own interests. Even during the civil war, the guilds stood together, a testament to the wisdom of Teferi.
Worldly Tutor (Mirage) Aselbo soon had the rhino eating from his palm and the snake waiting at his heels.
Zuberi, Golden Feather If the griffins tell of their gods, perhaps they speak of feathers bright as the Sun.
