The Ice Cauldron was an artifact from Dominaria, capable of storing mass amounts of mana.
Description
During the casting of the World Spell, the Ice Cauldron was situated at the bottom-most part of the crater, directly beneath Freyalise’s floating form. It was a huge metallic bowl, a cauldron of frosted iron. Rime formed around the outside of the cauldron despite the warmth of the surroundings. The interior of the cauldron was inscribed with runes, spiraling into the center of the pot. At the bottom of the cauldron was Jodah's Mirror, placed at the center of the ritual. The bowl was a duplication of the Golgothian Sylex, made by Freyalise based on original notes that had been preserved in the School of the Unseen. The Ice Cauldron was thus used to end Dominaria’s Ice Age, and much of the destruction it would have caused was alleviated by Jodah channeling the heat of the spell through the safe havens, destroying them in the process. It is unknown if the cauldron itself survived this process.[1][2]
