The Flight of the Ornithopter is an event that happened at Tocasia's Digsite in the later part of the Time of Legends.

Description

After Urza, Mishra and Tocasia discovered a broken ornithopter in the desert, they spent some time fixing it and fitting it with a powerstone. When the Reconstructed Thopter appeared to finally be ready, Urza and Mishra could agree on who was to fly the craft, and it was decided with a coin flip. Urza won, and launched the craft, flying it smoothly over the dig site to much astonishment and rejoicing. When he landed from his trip, Mishra announced it was his turn to fly, but Urza refused him, not trusting the more passionate brother's handling of the delicate craft. The two started another heated argument, and only Tocasia's intervention on Mishra's behalf calmed things down. Mishra took flight, swooping the craft around, and then headed off-site, vanishing across the dunes. Everyone waited nervously for Mishra to return for some time, and when he finally did, an enraged Urza confronted him about his reckless acts. Mishra then explained that he had seen a pattern in the desert, something that seemed to mark other potential dig sites, which was later proven true. After finding several locations in the desert and noticing the symbols around each all seemed to point to a specific location in the Kher Ridges, this event eventually led to the discovery of Koilos
