Central Campus
Information
Plane Arcavios
Part of Strixhaven, Orrithia

The Central Campus is the academic and administrative heart of Strixhaven University on the plane of Arcavios. A sprawling complex of sleek towers, skybridges, and open-air walkways, the Central Campus functions as the neutral meeting ground for all five colleges: Lorehold, Prismari, Quandrix, Silverquill, and Witherbloom.

Description

The campus stretches across the horizon in a dazzling display of magical architecture and academic grandeur, marked by an intricate weave of gleaming towers and flat-topped roofs.[1] Central Campus hosts shared resources, dining halls, performance venues, and student life hubs accessible to all Strixhaven students regardless of their college.[2]

Dominating the landscape is the massive Biblioplex, the university’s central library and knowledge nexus, crowned by the sky-slicing arch of the Dawnbow. All five Torches of Enlightenment radiate outward from this point, symbolizing the university's core mission: guiding students from ignorance to understanding. [2]

The central campus also feature classrooms and various lecture halls and study spaces shared by all colleges, dining halls and centralized eating areas for all students, offering a wide range of magically prepared cuisine, laboratories and shared research facilities that support collaborative magical experimentation, administration buildings and offices for the university's central administration, and residence halls and housing primarily for first-year students, located near shared resources to help ease their transition into campus life.[2]

The Biblioplex
  • Aerojaunt Field — a hexagonal practice area designed for magical aerial sports, featuring glowing chalk outlines and built-in dirt ramps to facilitate dynamic maneuvers. It serves primarily as a venue for intramural silkball matches and training, with surrounding outbuildings storing equipment and supplies.[2]
  • The Archway Commons Multicolored — A vibrant green park just south of the Biblioplex, marked by a smaller star arch that echoes the Dawnbow's structure. A favorite spot for first-years, the Commons is used for relaxation, socializing, and events hosted by student clubs.[2]
    • Firejolt Café — Located at the edge of Archway Commons, this lively café is a popular study and social spot. Known for its signature fire-infused drink brewed by its elven manager, Ellina, the Firejolt is a campus staple.[2]
  • The Biblioplex Colorless mana — A colossal domed structure containing vast magical archives and said to house knowledge from across the Multiverse. It lies at the very center of Strixhaven.[2] See Biblioplex for locations inside the building.
  • Captain Dapplewing's Manor — a two-story residence originally built by a decorated military veteran and dual-college professor, now serving as an exclusive faculty annex for academic counseling and formal gatherings. The manor features magically enhanced architecture, richly preserved furnishings, and multiple rooms dedicated to study, social functions, and faculty offices.[2]
  • The Dawnbow — A massive arch of jagged floating stones above the Biblioplex. The ends of each stone are smooth and angled downward, forming an awe-inspiring landmark visible across campus.[1]
    • Bow's End Tavern — Nestled at the western foot of the Dawnbow, this cozy tavern serves hearty food and potent drinks. Run by Tulk "the Bulk" Tusktooth, it’s especially popular with upper-year students and is infamous for its unofficial duels in the back lot.[2]
  • Strixhaven Stadium Colorless mana — Situated near the western edge of campus close to Bow’s End Tavern, the stadium hosts large-scale events including Mage Tower matches and other athletic competitions.[2]
  • The Torches of Enlightenment — Five monumental beacons that radiate magical flame and extend for miles beyond campus in five lines, each associated with one of Strixhaven’s colleges. The Torches converge at the Biblioplex, symbolizing unity through scholarship.[3]
