Professor Osgir is a Giant who serves as a faculty member at the Lorehold College within Strixhaven University, located on the plane of Arcavios.[1]
History
Osgir's passion for antiquities is intense even compared to the typically history-obsessed students and staff of Lorehold. His fascination extends to all kinds of artifacts—whether it be a resplendent, gem-encrusted crown or a simple, worn shovel—each item representing a tangible link to long-gone civilizations. During his time as a student, Osgir frequently found himself in trouble for secretly collecting and stashing the most remarkable discoveries from Lorehold's excavation sites in his quarters. He lost count of the number of times he was admonished with the reminder, "History belongs to us all!"
His dedication led him to become an expert in the rare magical discipline of duplicative restoration. This skill allows Osgir not only to flawlessly restore ancient artifacts and devices even from the tiniest fragments but also to create an exact duplicate of each piece for his private collection. His office at Lorehold is constantly changing its display, featuring an array of remarkable objects—from a formidable sword famed for slaying demons to an intricately crafted elven music box—showcasing his deep connection to history through these recreated relics.[2]
