Armageddon clocks were artifacts created by Mishra during the Brothers' War.

Description

Mishra created several armageddon clocks throughout the Brothers' War. He put them on the ground to drain the surrounding land, ensuring Urza's troops could not sustain themselves on the land's resources. It was armageddon clock that turned the Sword Marches into glass, creating the Adarkar Wastes.[1]

The most significant armageddon clock was created to lock away the Beast of the Hours beneath Mount Sarraza shortly before the Fall of Sumifa. The clock ticked for more than 3000 years before being sprung by the songmage Ogwater Rifkin, releasing the Beast of the Hours so that it could be banished.[2]
