February 9 It is announced that Nationals will replace World Magic Cup Qualifiers.
  • World Magic Cup teams are reduced to 3-man teams, with two of the players earning invitations at Nationals.
February 22 The MTG Salvation Wiki changes name to MTG Wiki.
March 5 Final of the 2016 Magic Online Championship. Won by {USA} Josh Utter-Leyton.
March 17 Release of Modern Masters 2017.
March 31 Release of Duel Decks: Mind vs. Might.
April 28 Release of Amonkhet.
