January 23	Release of Fate Reforged. Sarkhan Vol travels back in time and changes history. The 5 clans are juxtaposed with 5 dragon broods, which feature their own watermarks. Prerelease featuring a special "Ugin's Fate" booster pack.
February 6–8	Pro Tour Fate Reforged at Washington, D.C., USA. Won by Antonio Del Moral León.
February 27	Release of Duel Decks: Elspeth vs. Kiora.
March 27	Release of Dragons of Tarkir. Alternate timeline. Marketed as the ultimate "dragon set". Designed to be drafted with Fate Reforged but not with Khans of Tarkir
April 1	Announcing Drive to Work: The Box Set April Fools
April 10–12	Pro Tour Dragons of Tarkir at Brussels, Belgium. Won by Martin Dang.
May 6	Release of Tempest Remastered Magic Online-only.
May 22	Release of the Modern Masters 2015. Booster-based compilation set containing cards legal in, and intended for, the Modern format.
July 8–12	San Diego Comic-Con. Release of a limited edition of "black-on-black" Planeswalker cards.
July 17	Release of Magic Origins. Last Core Set. A "new beginning" related to the start of the Two-Block Paradigm and a new treatment of the storyline. Telling the origin stories of Gideon, Jace, Liliana, Chandra and Nissa. Introducing cards depicting pivotal moments. Return of double-faced cards / transform, showcasing the "Origins Five". First Core Set to feature new mechanics. Featuring the new evergreen keyword ability Menace, replacing Intimidate. Prowess and Scry promoted to evergreen status.
July 31 - August 2	Pro Tour Magic Origins in Vancouver, Canada. Won by Joel Larsson.
August 8	Start of the 2015–16 Pro Tour Season Grand Prix Events in Hong Kong, China and San Diego, USA.
August 21	Release of From the Vault: Angels.
August 27–30	2015 World Championship at PAX Seattle, United States. Won by Seth Manfield.
August 28	Release of Duel Decks: Zendikar vs. Eldrazi.
October 2	Release of Battle for Zendikar. Focussing on Ulamog and his eldrazi brood as antagonist. First set in the Two-Block Paradigm. Featuring Zendikar Expeditions. Featuring full-art lands and same art reprints.
October 10–12	Pro Tour Battle for Zendikar at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Won by Kazuyuki Takimura.
November 6	Release of the 2015 Holiday Gift Box.
November 13	Release of Commander 2015. Introducing experience counters.
November 18	Release of Legendary Cube A Magic Online-only reprint set.
December 11–13	2015 World Magic Cup in Barcelona, Spain. Won by Italy.
