In Magic Race designates the unique genetic makeup of a creature group. This is somewhat different from the scientific approach. In biology, the basic unit of biological classification and taxonomic rank is ‘’species’’, which is defined as a group of organisms capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring. In biology, races are distinct genetically divergent populations ‘’within the same species’’ with relatively small morphological and genetic differences. Besides race, most Magic cards with humanoid creatures also have another creature type. This class represents their career or calling in life.
